Is Resonance an A Plague Tale Prequel?
Where it fits
The story comes before Requiem even though Resonance released after it. That makes “prequel” the relationship in the fiction and “third installment” the relationship in release order.
The Requiem connection
Sophia already appears in Requiem, and supplied sources say Resonance was teased in that game’s post-credits scene. The prequel expands her history rather than retelling Amicia and Hugo’s journey.
What changes
The lead character, setting, and stronger melee focus distinguish Resonance from the earlier games while the Macula and wider series history retain the connection.
