How to Signal With the Beam of Light in Resonance

Before you start

This walkthrough applies only to Ezra’s two Chapter 2 signals. Reach the church roof and orient Sophia with the bell tower behind her. The cross ahead is the reliable landmark; using it prevents the bright points around the harbor from being mistaken for the actual objective targets.

This solution is for Ezra’s two Chapter 2 signals during the heist setup. Other light-beam objectives later in the game use different layouts.

Signal one

For the first signal, look immediately to the right of the cross for a bright white light. Hold the mirror beam steadily on that point until the light fully fades. Moving away too early can make the objective appear stuck because the first signal has not completed its full validation.

• Stand on the church roof with your back to the bell tower.
• Face the cross at the front of the roof.
• Look just to the right of the cross for a bright white light.
• Aim the mirror beam at it and wait until the light fades.

Signal two

Keep the same general facing and pan farther right toward the docks for the second target. It is more distant and can sit lower in the camera view. If it is missing, tilt down slightly rather than leaving the roof or searching behind the bell tower.

• Keep the bell tower behind you.
• Pan farther right toward the docks.
• If the light is not visible, angle the camera slightly downward.
• Hold the beam on the white light until it fades.

If the objective does not advance

Hold the beam until the second light also fades. If progress still does not advance, verify that the active objective is Ezra’s Chapter 2 signal task. Later chapters reuse light beams with different mechanisms and target positions, so their layouts do not troubleshoot these two signals.

Confirm that the first target has fully faded before moving the beam. Also make sure you are following the Chapter 2 Ezra objective; the supplied evidence identifies other beam puzzles in later chapters, but not the same two target positions.
